Kitsap Lake Baptist Church - Is a place where people are introduced to their loving Creator, grow as His children and come together as the body of Christ.
We will:Develop and maintain ministries and programs "for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ" (Ephesians 4:12-13); and affirm and guard our doctrinal position as Southern Baptists (1 Timothy 4:16)."
This site has been developed to provide you with information to help you understand how you can have a personal and growing relationship with God, and to provide you with information about the church.
Please browse through the site, but more importantly come and check us out in person. Everyone is welcome just as you are!
Note From Pastor Jim:
You Have a Role!
In less than a year, many people in churches of the Northwest Baptist Convention will fly to Thailand to assist 1,400 missionaries and their families from all over East Asia. Currently, Kitsap Lake Baptist Church has four members who are committed to being a part of this mission team.
You may not be one of those four people but every person at KLBC can and should be a part of this mission trip! There are three ways each person can and should be involved.
1. PRAY! Pray for the missionaries, their families, those going from the NWBC, the logistics involved (transportation, housing, feeding, etc.), and the finances.
2. GIVE! While those individuals going may be able to provide part of the expenses, each of us can help cover the estimated total cost of $2,500 for each person going from the Northwest (Dinners and sightseeing are “on your own”). Deposits of $350 per person are due February 1 with a second $350 due by April 1.
3. GO! KLBC church members will be arriving in Thailand by July 29, 2016. The conference ends on August 10. We will be involved in a wide variety of duties.
Getting back to “2. GIVE!”: You can give right now without spending a nickel! A cookbook of favorite recipes from the KLBC family is in the works. Plans are to assemble and publish it “in house.” All the proceeds will help send our mission team to Thailand. The greatest need right now is, of course, recipes. So, if you have a special recipe (or two, or three, or…) you are willing to have included in the church cookbook, please, fill out a special recipe form (one form per recipe) and turn it in to the church office or place it in the offering plate.
